One of several ostriches that were hanging around one morning in Botswana. They are not very bright. They peck at anything shiny, like sunglasses or camera lenses or watches - in fact, I have ostrich scratches on my watch as a memento of this guy. I don't know if there's an ornithological term for "a big dumb bird", but if there is, it would certainly apply to ostriches.
